Kemal Forrester, began her fashion career in retail working for brands such as Macy's & Old Navy. After a bit of “soul-searching”, Kemal attended Parsons The New School in the New York City area of the Village to study Fashion Design focusing on construction techniques & color theory.  She soon realized that in order to be truly successful in the industry, learning the art of fashion business would be equally as important. Kemal left Parson’s and enrolled at the Fashion Institute Of Technology, also in New York City, where she earned a Bachelors Of Science in International Trade & Marketing For The Fashion Industries with a double minor in French & Latin American Studies. She officially re-entered the fashion world by working as a Design Assistant Apprentice at Tiger J, a mid-sized independent fashion company specializing in celebrity clothing lines. Her next opportunity came as a Fashion Assistant at Brooks Brothers working with Women’s, Men’s & Children’s apparel focusing on Production & Design. Soon, Lanvin came knocking for Market week, where Kemal worked as a Stylist/Dresser. She would go on to freelance with other notable brands, including Coach in the area of Product Development, managing her own handbag platform and completing special projects for the Coach 1941, Coach 75th Anniversary & Coach Enamel Stud campaign. In addition, Kemal managed logistics for order fulfillment as well as global shipments at Diane Von Furstenberg. As a result, Kemal is well versed in product knowledge & decided to launch her own fashion business consulting firm to assist independent designers, emerging designers and retail boutique owners to manage successful companies.

If you are an independent/emerging fashion designer, Kemal develops business strategies, including branding/marketing, provides business coaching, manages business development & works to streamline the product supply chain for designers.
