EPISODE #6 - "THE SCARF"
If you've ever been to Paris, then you know that scarves are a staple of the standard Parisian wardrobe. Believe it or not, scarves are worn here pretty much year round! Of course, they vary in "weight" according to the season. Let's explore this all-weather scarf style a bit more.
In French, there are two types of scarves, the first is the écharpe which, is a heavy knit scarf worn in colder temperatures seen below:
Try experimenting with textures and bold hues for winter to make your wardrobe a bit exciting amidst a sea of black and grey clothing which is typical cold weather attire.
The second type of scarf is the "foulard". This term refers to the lightweight scarves usually made of silk, polyester or cotton. I love these scarves because you can get more fancy with textures, patterns and colors. Personally, I like mine in softer colors.
These kinds of scarves are an easy way to accessorize a casual look. For example a pair of jeans with a t-shirt and blazer.
